Good Moaning!

It’s no good selfish parents moaning about schools being closed, because they’ve got to look after darling Johnny and can’t get to their warm office job just around the corner… to sit in comfort, twiddle a pencil, and answer an occasional telephone call! School Teachers do not live next door to to their workplace or even within walking distance… most live out of county, because that’s how they are recruited… It’s not like it was fifty years ago when a teacher was part of the local community, like a doctor or midwife! A modern school is a complex organization of qualified teachers, classroom assistants, playground assistants, cooks, and canteen staff, care assistants and caretakers, not to mention admin staff and a head, all of which have to be in place by law before darling Johnny can walk through the school gates! So think again o’ moaning and selfish parent… Modern life is not all about you!… You just think it is!
