Out and About at Milton K…

This Saturday gave Marilyn and myself  the golden opportunity once more to visit our most favourite open air market… That of the Milton Keynes Open Market in Buckinghamshire England. Set beside Milton Keynes huge indoor shopping Mall, its a large market of the traditional sort, with every type of market trader selling every type of goods. Pots, pans, grocers, food stalls, hairdressers, phone, computer, and electrical goods, video stands, fruit and veg, ready cooked Chinese, Indian, and English and American sit-down meals and walk-about snacks. We had a walk around lunch soup snack and came away very tired and happy late afternoon with a newly digitalized collection of ‘The Bond Films’ By the time we arrived home all we wanted was pizza from Dom’s and a side dish!

Milton Keynes Open Market…

Despite the bitter cold of an easterly wind on Friday, Marilyn and I, made a visit to Milton Keynes open market in search of VHS tapes and DVDs. It’s a wonderful myriad of a market set near to the enclosed shopping area of MK and offers just about everything from fruit and veg to Chinese food, tins, pots, pans, coats and jackets, and there is even a hairdresser for the disconcerning lady or gent. The market wafts with intriguing smells from the citrus to the hamburger and hot dog, steaming coffee and rich ripe teas. Aside from a dozen or so DVDs of Poirot and Sherlock Holmes, Marilyn and I, came away with lovely sense of having stepped back in time to our childhood days!
