Looking Back…

I’m pictured here setting the lights at the John Rose Studio in 1966. John Rose was a well known and well respected photographer of young persons and children. A John Rose portrait was produced entirely on site, from the camera stage to darkroom, to mounting and finishing. It was a very busy studio with a high output and a staff of around 20 persons, from sales staff, camera operators, photo printers, and retouchers. I spent some happy years with John Rose, and gained much experience in the use of handling professional cameras and equipment.
