Many of you have emailed asking to see the interior of The Priory Church of St. Peter in Dunstable. So I was off with my Kodak camera to take this interesting shot from inside! When Henry the eighth decided to chase out the monks, some resisted his torment by escaping down the tunnels that led away from ‘The Priory’
The Loxwood Barge in the Village of Loxwood
Not far from Enid’s sleeping place in Alfold on the Surrey and Sussex border, is the quaint English village of Loxwood. Here at Loxwood are enjoyable summer barge trips along the canals, and at Yuletide, mulled wine, mince pies and traditional English carols to be savoured from the local public house.

The Barn at Milton Keynes

'Street Entertainers' entertain outside The National Gallery
It was a very enjoyable afternoon when Marilyn and I visited The National Gallery in Trafalgar Square recently for an exhibition of collected works by Pablo Picasso. ‘Street Entertainers’ kept the visitors entertained outside in the late Spring sunshine – this particular chap was a French balancing act!

The latest addition to the family of ‘The Broadland Folk’ is dear ‘Molly’ She is a 17 week old Border Collie, and is enjoying all of the delights that ‘The Norfolk Broads’ can offer!
The Gainsborough Film Studios in Poole Street, Islington London
The Gainsborough Film Studios at Islington North London prior to their redevelopment in 2002. Many famous British films were made here during the 1930’s with many of the stars of that time, including Will Hay, Arthur Askey, The Crazy Gang, and of course Enid Stamp Taylor.
Primrose Hill in West London
“Climbing up on Salisbury Hill… I can see the City Lights” as Peter Gabriel sang… Well, climbing up on Primrose Hill you can see near-all of London’s skyline features. Primrose Hill is situated in West London and it was here that Enid Stamp Taylor would often take a refreshing walk from her mother’s home in the then named Queens Road.
The entrance to Maryon Park in Woolwich, London
In a stone’s throw from the busy and bustling Woolwich Road is the peaceful and picturesque Maryon Park. When you first enter you are soon aware of the sheer eloquent calm of the place, hardly a sound, but for a gentle breeze rustling the tops of it’s many tall trees or the occasional sound of a child’s laughter. My old Mamiya camera lent a sepia tone to the pictures I was to take there in 1998, and back in 1966 it was the setting for Michelangelo Antonioni’s cult film “Blow-Up” with it’s imortal characters played by David Hemmings and Vanessa Redgrave.
